If you’ve been here a while, you’ll know I have a soft spot for hotels that feel like a home—but with better lighting, fluffier pillows, and a sense of style that inspires. That’s exactly what Cristine Bedfor gets so right.

The first hotel in Mahón was already a favourite. Set in a beautiful Menorcan house, it was transformed into a chic hideaway by none other than Lorenzo Castillo, whose eye for rich fabrics and timeless elegance needs no introduction.

Now, the brand-new Cristine Bedfor Málaga has just opened—and I’m already obsessed. Málaga is one of my favourite cities in Spain: vibrant, cultured, walkable, and full of light. The new hotel, designed by the ever-talented Marta de la Rica, is pure southern charm with personality to spare. Think terracotta, natural textures, stripes and those small, thoughtful touches that make you want to move in.

Cristina (yes, there is a real Cristine!) has created something truly special—hotels that are warm, layered, and deeply personal. These are places for curious travellers, aesthetes, and anyone who believes that design should be felt, not just seen.

And just when I thought I couldn’t love this project more… Seville is next. Yes, Cristine is heading to one of Spain’s most magical cities, and I can’t wait to see what she does there.
